Homemade Chicken Donner Kebab

  • Large onion
  • 2-3 Chicken Breasts
  • 1 teaspoon Harissa spice
  • 1 tablespoon Ras El Hanout spice mix
  • 2 teaspoons Baharat spice mix
  • flat breads
  • Salad leaves
  • red onion
  • tomato
  • Homous
  • Potato wedges
  • 2 table spoons yogurt

First marinade the chicken breast in the yogurt and spices for as long as you can, overnight is best but if you only have an hour that works too.

This will sound very strange but bare with me- it works and it tastes great;

Take a large onion and slice it down the middle so it has a flat bottom.

Now stick a wooden skewer through it.

Take the chicken breasts and kind of fold them on to the skewer to create a chicken donner kebab.

Then stick this on a tray and bake in the oven for 30-35minutes.

when it comes out the edges of the chicken will be charred and the chicken inside will be succulent and soft.

Then make up your kebab to your own taste. I fill my flat bread with humous, salad and chilli sauce and pile the meat on top.

This is great on it's own but my husband likes potato wedges with his.
